Nelson Barbosa Machado Neto

Nelson has an MSc in Genetics and Plant Breeding and a PhD in Plant Biology; including training in Tissue Culture and Molecular Biology. He has been collecting and working with orchids since 1982, and is especially interested in developing propagation techniques under home conditions. He is actively involved in conservation and orchid genetics.

Ceci Castilho Custódio

Ceci is an Agronomic Engineer, with MSc in Agriculture and a PhD in Plant Biology. She works with seed testing and deterioration, and with germination in stress conditions, particularly with Phaseolus and Brachiaria species. She is also working in seed conservation.
